If You’re Hoppy!

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

If You’re Hoppy has been hopping into libraries, book stores, arms. SLJ said “Sure to be a storytime staple, with many repeat performances.” For storytime fun, check out my article and photos of hopping animals, plus links to hopping animal video and a craft on the Under the Green Willow blog. There’s a recent roundup of early reader bunny books on the Cleveland.com site. I also found a cool librarian  who has a biblobop party plan for libraries. Huge list of hopping, bouncing books, too. http://storytiming.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/nobody-puts-baby-in-the-corner/

Nature Fun For Computer Kids (Oh, and me!)

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

I have a new way to find a morning bubble of joy. Take a look at National Geographic’s new and improved web cams. Right now I am watching a heron in Africa. Earlier I was watching, and identifying fish on a coral reef in Belize. When you can’t get out, here’s a way to feel a little nature joy and maybe even polish up your fish-watching and bird-watching skill. Oh, and there was a water buffalo? wildebeest? in that Africa one a minute ago. Thanks, Nat’l Geo!

Wild Cam Africa

Look to the side for the other wild cams you can check.

Boo–you do have to sit through a commercial first. Oh well, that is the price of free!
